  • You are not a MISTAKE (Failure)

    You are not a MISTAKE.

Did I just hear you whispers yessss?

Know this…it is a fact. You are not a mistake, or is it failure?

…whatever you want to call it.

The fact that everything aren’t yet in order as expected doesn’t mean you should berate yourself.

You are not a failure…you are just testing the microphone of your life; rehearsing your greatness acceptance speech.

Just imagine how it would feel like to finally become the person you’ve always wished/wanted to be…you are going to feel on top of the world, right?

Nothing else would matter at that very moment because you are looking success in the face 😳😳😳

At this kind of moment, you are confident of trying again because you are so sure of the outcome; success.

That’s the spirit of high flyers…

But, to reach those milestones you have set for yourself, or those ones that were set by your superior or colleagues, there are some gallops to get over.

Those trying times that makes you want to question your existence.

Due to pain of the moment, You might want to quickly forego and forget your WHY (reasons and motivations) for embarking on the journey in the first place.

I call such moment Your Life Drama Moment.

When life drama takes its toll on you, the storyline can change instantly. Disregard, disrespect, discourage, and many other DISs of life can sufface in such moment.

Should you be concerned or weary? Yes and No.

Be concerned about building/maintaining a thick skin to wade the war against the challenge but don’t be afraid of it by losing your sense of purpose up to the level of challenging your fundamental principles of existence.

You are not a failure…that you are born poor doesn’t mean you have no hope of a brighter tomorrow…you are not a mistake.

My friend, I have a good news for you!

You are getting close to achieving those things you have, or almost, given up on, I’m certain and sure of that. You don’t need to let the situations around you drain out your motivation from going forward.

When life drama happens, treat it like a movie that always has the positive endings. No matter how interesting and long the movie can be, it will maximally come to an end approximately 120 minutes (2 hours).

That is the take home wisdom…”tough times never last but tougher people do“.

Life drama shouldn’t make you soft, become tougher for your challenges.

    You are not a MISTAKE.

    Residual Musings

PS: A while ago, I wrote a touching story about my own life drama that I think you might want to read through. Maybe something from it can inspire your spirit being. https://olawaledaniel.com/31-days-gratitude-challenge/

  • 7 Come Back Steps After Failure

Failure means different things to different people at different times. To some, it is massive setback of life that limits one’s potential to get to the top or attain a status of greatness. To another, failure is just another thing you need to get you fired up for success. To a well motivated person, failure is just what you need to gain more experience about achieving your committed goals and visions in life.

I could continue to name different perspectives of failure; how human beings perceived it and react to it. But this morning, that’s not my focus for this early morning charge.

I want to quickly share with you seven ways to comeback stronger after experiencing failures in life. Irrespective of your background or shortcomings of life, you can bounce back from failure and go from there to attaining greatness with the right guidelines.

    Here we go, let’s talk about;

7 come back steps after failure you must take

    1. Seek clarity.

    Understand what went wrong.
If you’ve once fallen in your journey to greatness and have failed to study why it happened, you are not yet ready to come back after failure.

You need to know why you, fell after all the permutating and calculating, ended up below the expectations. Be calm and try to get clear with everything, that’s when you’ll be able to know the next step.

    2. Identify what could be done differently.

Now, you’ve spot the wrinkle and there’s need to take it out of your pores. How do you clean the mess of your past mistakes?

Identify what needed to be done differently from what you’ve been doing.

Alvin Toffler once said “the illiterate of the 21 century aren’t those who cannot read or write, but they are those who cannot LEARN, UNLEARN, and RELEARN” what is new, fresh and better.

It is obvious, the path you followed has failed, but that doesn’t mean the end of the journey. You’ve got to find another path to your destination (attaining your greatness); the one with a different dimension and approach.

    3. Commit to doing what is required.

The result is in the ‘doing‘. After all, the media only recognize achievers and doers; they don’t give medals to lazy minds.

After you’re done with analyzing the mistakes made, and you know what needed to be done differently, now it is *time to get to work*.

Commit to follow the different pathway religiously without compromise. Plan to work it out and get to do it judiciously.

    4. Invest time and effort.

Yes, you are very busy type, so am I. But take note of this, if you don’t commit your time and effort to following this new path, a glimpse or flashback of the past error is enough to get you off your balance. That’s why you’ve got to commit your time to come back after failure by doing what you set-out to do.

    5. Pursue optimal results.

Pursue excellence in all you do. If it ain’t gonna be top quality, why start?

The slogan is; is either we succeed or we succeed. No other option but excellence.

Determine to get optimal result in everything you commit yourself to do in order to achieve your ultimate goals in your new path.

    6. Don’t quit, don’t give up.

Many challenges of life will try to shake you; don’t quit. Countless times you would have reasons to doubt yourself and question yourself over and over again; don’t just give in or give up. Your comeback is near.

    7. Decide you are NOT a failure (embrace that Peace in you)

If you don’t believe in yourself, it will be very difficult for external forces to believe in whatever you stand for. Note that, your life becomes a masterpiece when you learn to master peace. That little peace is believing in yourself who you are and not what the world thinks you are.

Of all the points above, if none has actually caught your attention, let it be this one that will hit the focal point.

Decide and affirm it to yourself that *YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE*. Your belief system matters a lot in this scenario.

If you don’t believe that failure is just another opportunity to try something differently, every time, you will challenge yourself to give up or try another thing. In fact, you wouldn’t have embarked on the six steps to come back after failure above.

I intentionally placed this below here, always remember why you embarked on this new path; to show that you are not a failure.

Then if you are not, just PROVE IT!

I can see opening doors on your path this weekend. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  • VISION 20/20 and The Decade of Destiny By Tope Fabusola

“2020 is going to be great!”

    Blah, blah, blah…

How many times have you heard this so far?

If you are like me, probably a thousand and one times.

    Yes, we’ve seen it all.

    2020 is a unique year.

No matter how the last decade went.

Whether some people went from grass to grace…

    Or from grass to grasshopper.

What really matters is the reality we must face in this new decade.

So, what do you need to make 2020 really superb?

I’ll tell you what it’s not.

    Goals.

What you need in 2020 isn’t goals. What you need is a vision.

No, this is not a motivational “aspire to perspire.”

What you really need is a vision.

    Let me explain.

2020 isn’t just a year. It’s the start of a decade filled with possibilities.

No matter how shiny your new year resolutions are, even if you achieve every one of them, you aren’t milking 2020 enough.2020 is here. What is it all about for you? Goals or Visions?

To reap all the benefits of this decade, focus on a crazy decade-long vision.

If today is Jan 1, 2030.

    Who are you, then?

No, I’m not asking you what you’ve done.

I’m asking you, who have you become?

Allow yourself to be crazy about your vision.

Who are you in 2030? Where can you see yourself? What are you controlling?

Don’t tell me you are “successful”.

    Clearly define who you are.

Don’t be modest. Be very arrogant about it and dream like a crazy man.

If you find it hard doing this, add 10 years to your current age and ask yourself…

“Who am I at this age? Who would I want to look at in the mirror with deep satisfaction in my heart?”

Take your time and think deeply.

    I’ll wait.

    Are you done?

    Now, ask:

“What must I do this year to move aggressively towards my vision?”

“What must happen in 2020 for me to become my 2030 self?”

    “What skills do I need?”

    “What project must I complete?”

    “What network must I build?”

“What must happen this week, this month, this year, if I must become that crazy vision in 2030?”

Dump your new year resolutions and pursue a worthy vision for once.

All the clarity you need is in a 20/20 vision.

PS: If you are one of those saying “2020 isn’t the start of the new decade. It should be 2021.”…

Guess what, there is a reason we say the 20s, 30s, and 40s.

This is reality, not almighty formula.

  • Build from Your One Corner

Prove yourself to yourself, not others. Type YES if you agree! ?‍?

Everything you want in life is at the end other side of fear of feeling you need something big to get started, but that’s a lie.

All you need to get yourself out there is to #StartFromYourCorner just like what our guest speaker, @JuliusOsimen said yesterday at #Unleash Leader’s Quarters business retreat in Lagos. If you’d like to watch the video, drop a comment. I will share the link when it is uploaded on YouTube by the #LQ media team or my own YouTube.

Jeff started from his corner, today he’s out there disrupting the world of eCommerce with Amazon and many other great inventions.

We can all focus on our chapter of life instead of complaining about, and comparing ourselves with, other people who are enjoying their own chapter of life.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. It was a steady act of putting every little piece of tiny blocks, one after the other while making sure the error and challenges of the way didn’t get them discouraged, but instead, they became fuel that later geared them towards what we now see and marvel at today as ROME.

Let’s begin 2020 with a decision to finish stronger than our past year.

It is going to be strictly #OneCorner approach to the top for me. I pray you can as well do that.

  • Attitude, Your ticket to stardom or High way to Obscurtiy, Mediocrity and Inferiority Complex

Attitude, Your ticket to stardom or High way to Obscurtiy, Mediocrity and Inferiority Complex

“Attitude will, to a great degree, determines how high a man can rise and to what degree he can fall.”

    Olawale Daniel

Have you ever given it a thought that why out of billions of people only a few are capable of making impressions all over the world?

    Why do they become famous?

Why do they succeed in their lives and others do not?

They are also manufactured by the same society but only a few of them are able to make their way in the midst of the negativity while others get trapped in its vicious circle. The important factor which plays a candid role in making “personality” of any individual is his/her attitude.

Attitude determines the extent of a person’s growth in the future.

Any individual can alter their lives by changing their attitudes of mind.

Habits are nothing but a product of our attitude towards various things.

If we approach things positively, we absorb positive habits which in turn makes up our benevolent Character.

And the greatness of a person is directly dependent on their character. ‘Character’ is the most important asset which is a potent force in deciding the status of any individual.

Good character will always call for praise and applause while bad character would always be isolated.

It’s aptly said, “If wealth is lost, nothing is lost; if health is lost, something is lost; if character is lost, everything is lost.

In simple words, we can say that it is the positive attitude of a person which can fill him with good habits, and his good habits can make him great. It is very difficult to succeed in life if you have a factual knowledge but don’t have a solid foundation required for good character.

Character is the biggest part of man’s success which can be gained wholesomely without any currency.

    • – What is your Character Quotient as at October 31st, 2019?
    • – What is the new game plan employed for deploying positive attitude?
    • – As 2019 is gradually winding down have you design any better Escape Strategies from the old lifestyle?
    • – What is your current goal for a new model attitude?
    • – Are you “AUDACIOUS” enough to call it quit, every habits and character traits that is not moving your life forward?
    • – What is your “EGOCENTRIC PARAMETER”?

DON’T YOU HONESTLY THINK IT IS HIGH TIME YOU DROP THOSE DESTINY KILLING, FUTURE CRUSHING AND LIFE HINDERING HABIT OF YOURS?

Do you need personal assistance on reshaping your attitude?

For admission into my next class on reshaping your life, send a message to the contact on the flyer or send a private message via the contact form. I will react as soon as I can.

  • Olawale Daniel’s Ten Years Achievement With WordPress

Just can’t believe that I’ve been that long using this amazing tool. WordPress has been a life saver for me, especially when WYSIWYG feature that blogger.com offers almost made me not to try something new.

Or is it the fear of messing with code or actually messing with codes?

Or those days that you’ll shutdown your site for days unknowingly…all in the name of testing one new Plugins features.

Or those days of no caching Plugins…that it would take a while for your site to load?

Or the Anthony Weiner’s scandal and controversy which brought me the most of my website traffic?

Or I should mention those late night hours I’d be editing article via my Blackberry Curve, Bold and et al?

Those days were….in fact, I’m short of not just words, but ideas too!

Or should I mention my first car purchase through the proceeds from my engagement with Matt Mullenweng’s content management system, WordPress?

I have a lot of amazing memories with WordPress that time would not permit, enable and even, accord me to share with the world.

But above all, I’m super excited and grateful for those past ten years of usage and impacting my world through WordPress.

In fact, writing this is as a result of my zeal towards using the tool.

This picture can attest to that…

I give God all the glory for all that I’ve been able to do with WordPress and those other amazing things that are in the pipeline.

I can’t wait, to celebrate my 20th years of working experiences as a blogger. Even though, I’ve been blogging for years before I switched to WordPress, but this achievement further makes me remember how far I’ve gone.

2006 was like yesterday, but looking back, it is really a long time ago.

Thanks WordPress for making the world a better place.
