Text: John 14:12-14, 16:23-24

The name of our Lord Jesus Christ is not just an ordinary name! It’s a force that commands the immutability of God Almighty. His name is an authority that is capable of compelling God to do the unimaginable; (inconceivable or mind-boggling; beyond belief).

I hope you will be able to engage this NAME  as I expose you to more revelational insights about the name of Jesus in the paragraphs below.

Attention:

“This is to also inform you that I am divinely instructed to engage in intercessory prayers for all my partners in ministry, families and friends; for seven Wednesdays. I have diligently began interceding since 2 weeks ago and tomorrow will make it the 3rd Wednesday.”

Were you able to go through the above passages of the Bible? However, I pray that the LORD will open your eyes and heart to the mystery behind the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen

The Name of Jesus is what gives you and I direct access to the Father; God Almighty. See what He; Who knows the potency behind His Name says:

“…Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.” (John 16:23)

The Name of Jesus is a certainty to whatever your request is, both on earth and in heaven. Jesus is the Word that the Father speaks! Therefore, His Name is an endorsement of the Father upon whatever is requested by Jesus’ believers.

One of the reasons why you need to understand what the Name of Jesus stands for, is to open you up to the truth. Because, your access to the truth of the Word of God guarantees your freedom in life.

Ultimately, know that there is power that resides in the Name of Jesus!

In my research, I discovered that the word “ask” is very important in this context.

The word “ask” in Greek is Erotao (er-o-tah’-o), meaning to request, to beseech, pray, desire and intreat. Asking in the verses doesn’t mean you should be begging. The word “ask” in the above passages of the Bible means “a demand of something due” according to the original Greek meaning.

Although, that does not mean you should be demanding and ordering God to do whatever you like. In the Name of Jesus, you are to request what rightfully belongs to you as a result of the victory that Jesus has already won.

Peter knew what was behind the Name of Jesus… the authority that belongs to him… the power that resides in that Name…. and he invoked – putting into operation – the power to restore back to normal, the state of that lame man… and it was so. Wow!

“…such as I have give I thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6).

The Name of Jesus will authoritatively answer those that have Jesus Christ living in them as the Living Word. It’s true! You cannot give what you don’t have. Peter says “…such as I have give I thee…”

When He resides in you and you understands what is behind His Name, you won’t join them to abbreviate the Name of Jesus ooo. Abbreviating the Name of Jesus as “IJN” is limiting the authority and the power in that Name!

Permit me to lead you to Him! Search your heart if Christ is not truly there. Then, pray this song of prayer:

“Into my heart(2×), come into my heart, Lord Jesus, come in today, come in to stay, come into my heart Lord Jesus. Amen.”

I saw the need to share with you something about the name – Jesus! It is very important to know and understand the original meaning of the name as to really know what the name stands for.

The Greek word for Jesus is “Lesous” (ee-ay-sooce) meaning Jehoshua. While the Hebrew word is “Yhowshuwa”

Jesus is the name of our Lord – The Messiah. But 2 to 3 other Israelites was also named Jesus in the Bible.

● Jesus – the Son of God (Heb 4:14)
● Jesus – the son of Eliezer (Luke 3:29). Check these Bible versions: American Standard Version, English Revised Version and Douay-Rheims Bible
● Jesus – the son of Justus (Col. 4:11). An associate with Paul in preaching the gospel
● Jesus – referring to Joshua son of Nun (Heb 4:8, Acts 7:45). In which some Bible versions used Joshua while some replaced it with Jesus

Which of the above Jesus do you know?

I pray the Lord will never disappoint you, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

The Greek word for Christ is Christos (khris-tos), meaning “anointed” i.e the Messiah. Christ is an epithet of Jesus – meaning Christ is a term used as a descriptive substitute for the Name: Jesus.

Therefore, Jesus Christ means “The anointed Son of God.” No wonder He is called the “begotten Son of God” (John 3:16).

● Jesus Christ confirmed that He is the anointed in Luke 4:18.
● The believers who prayed for Peter and John confirmed it in Acts 4:27
● Apostle Peter also confirmed it while preaching the Good News to the Gentiles in Acts 10:38
● The Apostles have no option than to confirm Him as the Anointed of God through the pouring of the “oil of gladness / joy” in Hebrews 1:9

“This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave Him is greater than their names” (Heb. 1:4 NLT).

It is the anointing that separates and distinguishes Jesus Christ from others including other Jesus mentioned in the Bible. When you deeply understand the Name of Jesus Christ, then you will understand what the Name stands for – is powerful than what we could imagined! (John 14:12-14 & John 16:23-24).

I will open you up to more insights in my next broadcast by God’s grace.

Jesus Christ is the reason why everything is working in your favour!

Irrespective of what life is offering you, I want you to know that God is not a wicked God. He will never pretend as if He doesn’t know what you are going through at every point in time.

I want you to apply what you’ve been reading from the previous broadcasts on the above topic to your situation. You have authority to command results in life! Although, faith is needed.

Are you in a situation that no one in your family has ever escaped before? Are you facing problems that no one has ever resolved? Is your situation baffling you that you don’t know where to turn?

The good news is, Jesus Christ is anointed to preach the gospel to the poor; sent to heal the broken-hearted, always ready to deliver you from captivity, recovering of sight to the blind, and He is set to set at liberty those that are bruised – (Luke 4:18 paraphrased)

Even if you are facing financial problems and you don’t see any possible way out in the natural, take this simple step in the Spiritual:

● With faith in Christ, speak aloud in the Name of Jesus Christ, Jehovah-Jireh (my Provider), meet my needs. Then, just believe that God will answer you just because of His Anointed Son. (John 14:12-14)

Jesus Christ is the reason why everything should work in your favour!
